Me

Christine LeVeaux Haley is a political science professor in the Honors College at the University of Houston. She received her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and her doctorate from Louisiana State University. Christine teaches classes in American Government and Black Politics. She has published in scholarly journals including, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Research Quarterly. She has also appeared as a political commentator on Houston affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS as well as CNN.

 

Christine sang throughout college, and worked at an Atlanta jazz bar, where she was able to jump on stage every once in a while. She is known to break into song in her lectures and talks, because, “Music makes everything better.” As a lifelong learner and teacher, she is always seeking information and always happy to share the knowledge she gains.
